Deliverables
What you get
ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G
Performance rating method models comparing proposed and baseline buildings, with full compliance documentation.
LEED energy credits
Energy performance modeling and documentation for LEED Optimize Energy Performance credits.
COMcheck & prescriptive compliance
Envelope, lighting and mechanical compliance reports for permit submission.
HVAC load calculations
Room-by-room heating and cooling loads and airflow schedules for equipment sizing.
System option studies
Energy and operating cost comparison of HVAC systems, envelope upgrades and controls strategies.
Revit-to-energy model workflow
Revit rooms and spaces audited and cleaned with our tools before gbXML export — no rebuilding geometry by hand.
How it works
From drawings to compliance report
- 1
Project inputs
Send drawings or the Revit model, the target code or certification, and the system design.
- 2
Automated model prep
Our tools audit rooms, zones and surfaces and fix export issues before modeling starts.
- 3
Modeling & review
Proposed and baseline models built, simulated and reviewed by an energy engineer.
- 4
Report & support
Compliance report, credit documentation and responses to reviewer comments.

FAQ
Common questions
What's the difference between COMcheck and an Appendix G energy model?
COMcheck demonstrates prescriptive compliance component by component. An Appendix G model simulates the whole building against a baseline, allowing trade-offs — and is required for most LEED energy credits.
Can you use our Revit model?
Yes. We audit and correct rooms, spaces and surfaces in the Revit model with our in-house tools, then export gbXML to the energy modeling software.
Which software do you use?
Primarily TRACE 3D Plus and HAP, depending on the project and reviewer requirements.
When should energy modeling start?
At schematic design. Early models inform envelope and HVAC system choices, when changes are cheapest.
