Photometric analysis and lighting plans
Point-by-point lighting levels for an interior space or a parking and site lighting layout, so fixture choices and spacing can be checked before they are installed.
What you get
- Point-by-point lighting levels across each space or site area
- Average, maximum and minimum levels, with uniformity ratios
- A lighting plot laid over your plan
- A fixture schedule with mounting heights and the light loss factor used
- Report as a PDF
When you need a photometric analysis
- A parking lot or site needs a photometric plan for planning or permit approval
- Lighting levels must meet a code, a lease or a brand standard
- Light must not spill over the property line
- You are replacing old fixtures with LEDs and want the same or better levels
- You want to compare fixtures before you buy them
How it works
- 1
Send the plan and fixtures
A floor or site plan, the mounting heights, and the fixtures you are considering, with their photometric files if you have them.
- 2
We confirm scope and fee
An engineer replies within one business day, and we sign an NDA before you send files.
- 3
We model the lighting
The space is modelled with its fixtures, surfaces and mounting heights, and light levels are calculated on a grid at the working plane or the ground.
- 4
You receive the report
The lighting plot, the summary of levels and the fixture schedule, ready to attach to the permit set or send to the supplier.
Price and turnaround
Each job is quoted from your drawings. Send them and an engineer replies within one business day with the fee and a delivery date.
Frequently asked questions
What is a photometric analysis?
It calculates how much light reaches each point of a space or site from the chosen fixtures. It shows whether the lighting meets the levels you need before the fixtures are bought.
What do you need to start?
A plan of the space or site, the mounting heights, and the fixtures you want to use. If you have not chosen fixtures yet, we can test a layout for you.
Can you check light spill at the property line?
Yes. The calculation grid can extend past the boundary to show how much light leaves the site.
Can this be part of a full design later?
Yes. The analysis carries straight into a full MEP design if you decide to continue with us.
Ready to order?
Tell us about the site and attach any drawings. An engineer replies within one business day, and we sign an NDA before you send project files.
